FIRE SIDE CHATS is a report by youths of all ages about fire and fire-related topics that interest youths of different ages. This web page is overseen by the WCA Psychology Dept. Staff & and an associated "kid" editor who works with the various youths to submit their stories of interest. All stories, pictures & drawings are screened for the appropriateness of their contents, as well as grammar and writing style. However, all efforts are made not to drain the fun or the point of a child's or a teen's efforts to communicate about a fire safety topic. The ultimate aim is to preserve a child's or teen's original works so that the words reflect his or her communication style.

So... we respectfully request that you accept each work on its own merit. Allow some forgiveness for "poetic license" because of differences in ages of the writers and in creative expression, and because of the good intentions of these writers.
